Project Description

NDR

The Norwich Northern Distributor Road (also known as the NDR, Norwich Northern bypass, and the Norwich Northern Distributor Route) is an 8.7 mi (14.0 km) dual-carriageway linking the A47 to the south east of the city to the proposed Rackheath Eco-town and Norwich International Airport to the north of Norwich finishing at the A1067 Fakenham road to the north west of the city.

It was given ‘Programme Entry’ status by the Department for Transport in December 2009. On 2nd June 2015 the scheme was given the final go ahead, the road is scheduled to be completed by March 2018 and the western end was opened in 2017.

Balfour Beatty were appointed as main contractors and subsequently sub-contracted the Supply & erection of the Traffic Signs for the project to Mason Street Furniture.

Working closely with MSF Nuneaton Signs were able to confirm the design and construction details for the 1000 + signs that were required.

The first batch of signs were delivered in October 2015 and to date signs valuing in excess of £150,000 have been supplied and erected, with the remaining £20,000 to be delivered in late Spring 2018.

To date all signs have been delivered on time and with zero defects.
