Nuneaton Signs continue staff education

Nuneaton Signs has a firm commitment to training employees of all abilities, not only in work based skills, but in other areas of improvement. Walsall College had been providing courses in Literacy, Numeracy and Life Skill’s for more than three years for the companies learning disabled employees, which have proved valuable for the employees and the company, and gave them the confidence and the certificates as records of achievement as evidence of their success. All the training had been provided free of charge from the funding that was available to them. Unfortunately earlier this year the company was informed that the finding was no longer available, which would mean the courses would have to stop.
There was obvious disappointment from the employees and management alike because how highly valued the courses had been. The company was not prepared to give up on these courses and contacted a number of colleges with a view to them following on from Walsall College. North Warwick & Hinckley College, have offered to take up the mantel of providing the training for our employees in similar subjects and at various levels. Karen Munday, the Work Choice adviser, said, “We are all delighted that a local college has taken on the courses for us to maintain the employee development. The employees have met with the staff from the college and carried out assessments to establish their various levels. The enthusiasm is still there from the employees, and we look forward to a continual fruitful relationship with the new provider”
