Supporting Business Growth and Job Opportunities for People with Disabilities.
Nuneaton Signs, a Kings Award for Enterprise recognised Social Enterprise first founded in 1982, is proud to announce the opening of its second premises in Hinckley. This expansion is a major milestone in the company’s ongoing mission to provide high-quality signage solutions while simultaneously creating more opportunities for individuals with disabilities.
The new facility will help Nuneaton Signs increase its production capacity and meet growing demand for its services, allowing the Social Enterprise to further its impact in the local community. The move comes as part of the company’s commitment to creating sustainable employment and training opportunities for people with disabilities, in line with its ethos since its founding over four decades ago.
Our new facility at Hinckley will increase Nuneaton Signs production capacity by 144% with the addition of our new Fujifilm Acuity Prime L and Veloblade Nexus to our production machinery.
Nuneaton Signs has built a reputation for excellence in the design and production of signage, serving a wide range of industries, as recognised by their Kings Award for Enterprise – Promoting Opportunity Award in 2024. The company’s expansion into Hinckley has also offer new job roles for people with disabilities, increasing its capacity to support more individuals in the local area.
Opening our new premises in Hinckley is an exciting development for Nuneaton Signs. It allows us to increase our production capabilities meeting new business need and demand, grow our team, and continue our company mission of creating meaningful job opportunities for individuals with disabilities. We are proud of our history and achievements, and this is a really exciting step forward in ensuring that our positive impact can be felt even more broadly.
Nuneaton Signs have seen tremendous corporate growth over the last 5 years of trade, with significant support from the construction sector as a result of the Procurement Policy Note first released in 2020 stipulating that social value must be considered in the procurement of goods when public money is involved. This growth has enabled the company to offer a further 35 job opportunities for individuals in the local area. Which is why the expansion to a second facility is so exiting to the business, as it not only offers the opportunity to support further individuals but gives the business opportunity to develop additional business contracts and enhance offering to existing customers.
The Hinckley facility has now been operational for a month and a half, with the company already having recruited additional team members and preparing and procuring operational equipment.
