Hinckley manufacturing facility takes delivery of Fujifilm Acuity Prime L

Further development in Nuneaton Signs fleet of manufacturing equipment increases capacity by 144%.

Over the last seven years, Nuneaton Signs have seen our
business success and turnover treble. The support of our customers and hard
work of our ever-growing team has made this dream a reality and has meant that
we’ve been able to take the next exciting step in our company journey by
opening a second premises. Read more about that here.

The opening of another factory is no small feat for a social
enterprise like ours, and that is why it was so important to work on this
project with our tried and tested suppliers. Collaborating and procuring from
businesses we know share our values, support our drive and want to help develop
our growth has been key in making the opening of our manufacturing facility in
Hinckley a success.

One of the suppliers we elected to develop our partnership
with on this project was Fujifilm. A supplier who has already supported us with
our growth and development at our site in Nuneaton with the procurement and
installation of a Fujifilm Acuity Prime 30 flatbed printer. The model we have
installed at Hinckley has enabled us to provide greater quantities and faster
turnaround for our products that we design, manufacture and deliver to our ever-growing
customer base. The printer at Hinckley is used to print on 2500 x 1250mm sheets
and is used to produce signage on various materials, such as our
environmentally friendly, 100% PVC-Free, and fully recyclable signage materials,
Bubbleboard and Flute board, or our solution for an alternative application
such as our Aluminium composite material which we can offer close-loop
recycling

We took the opportunity of procuring a second device to explore other options
in the market with Fujifilm, and quickly decided on the Fujifilm Acuity Prime
L. This printer increases the size of sheet material we can print up to 3000 x
1500mm, which not only increases capacity, but also opens the door to further
product development and ultimately a greater product range for our customers.

“Nuneaton Signs take delivery of their second Acuity Prime. Successful social enterprise Nuneaton Signs first invested in a Prime 30 two years ago to increase their capacity. New contracts mean they are expanding again, creating more jobs. They have invested in an Acuity Prime L to keep up with demand for their services. The Prime series of printers provide an excellent ROI and are supported by Fujifilm’s own service engineers. Thank you Nuneaton Signs for your continued support.”

Colin Werrett, Business Development Manager – Fujifilm

The delivery of the Fujifilm Acuity Prime L went seamlessly, with Fujifilm’s delivery and installation partner Paul Ponsonby taking great care in unloading the machine off the lorry and position the machine in the factory. The Fujifilm team then supported us over the next few weeks in setting up the printer, making sure everything was level and collaborating with our onsite electricians to get the machine up and running.

“I’d like to say a huge thank you to the team at Fujifilm and their supply chain for supporting us in the acquisition, delivery, and installation of the Fujifilm Acuity Prime L. This is a truly groundbreaking step for us at Nuneaton Signs, increasing our capacity in direct print to support the growth of our business and client portfolio.”
