Get To Know Martin

I started at Nuneaton Signs in April 1999 as a Stores/Despatch Manager. After a couple of years, I was promoted to production manager. I looked after all aspects of Production and our installation team, spending a great deal of time on site installing signs, which was invaluable experience. During this time, I gained a great deal of insight into how sites operate and how jobs are scheduled to tie in with works by others.

A move from the shop floor into the sales team followed, and I was responsible for estimating jobs for several of our bigger customers. I also estimated and project managed all our installation work.

As time evolved, I concentrated increasingly on traffic schemes. I engaged in the setting up of our first national supply contract with Balfour Beatty (via Lyreco). We later gained Skanska as a national contract (sold to Milestone).

A promotion to National Sales Manager followed, with an emphasis on traffic signs, developing and expanding the department. During this time, we signed our third National traffic contract with Eurovia Group.

In April of 2023 I had the great honour of being appointed as Sales Director.

During my 25 years at Nuneaton Signs, the company has changed greatly. Our ethos of employing people with disabilities has remained constant, but changing technology has totally altered the way in which we make signs. During recent years I have seen the amazing expansion in turnover to the point where we are today, and I continue to relish the challenge of that continued expansion, whilst never losing sight of our core values.
