Project Overview

Morgan Sindall won 4 National Highways depots in Warndon, Strensham, Doxey and Bescot through the Scape contractor framework. The works involved new offices and workshops for Highway Officers and maintenance operatives. NS won all of the projects by competitive tender, although the Warndon project did not require signs.
"That’s great thank you for organising this for us so quickly it’s massively appreciated!"
Chloe Spencer QS

The signs were National Highways logos and lettering in a mixture of built up and flat plate. In addition at Strensham we provided photoluminescent fire exit signage on 1mm rigid plastic.

The timing of the works was critical with the relatively small sites programmes requiring careful coordination, particularly at Bescot where the high level signs had to be installed after the surfacing was complete.

At Doxey and Bescot we worked with the Morgan Sindall project team to develop appropriate sign types and fixing methods that would suit the substrate onto which they were being fixed. During the process we met with the cladding installer to ensure a suitable pattress was installed.

Social Value

The photoluminescent signs were laid by our Interns and some of the sales process managed by Beth Evans our accounts admin apprentice.

Why Nuneaton Signs?

The projects were won in competitive tender, building on the already strong relationship in the Midlands. The projects were also procured through SCAPE a framework with high Social Enterprise spend KPIS.
